How Meditation Can Make Your Workout More effective

Studies showed that marathoners at the end of the finish line after a 10k or 25k run still have plenty of glycogen and ATP ( a chemical that stores energy) in the runner's muscles. Scientists concluded that fatigue sets in when the brain tells them to conserve energy.

The brain doesn't know what is real experience or just imagined. So taking 5 to 10 minutes to visualize and envision running a few miles with energy to spare and affirming and repeating "I'm strong and fast" will restructure your brain to enter a state of bliss while exercising allowing you to workout harder.

Imagine tension draining from your muscle and you will feel your legs will start to move with ease and feel more energized.

Conversely, if your brain doesn't know how much energy you will need for a workout it will send you signals to conserve energy and the body starts to build up lactic acid and make you feel fatigue. That's why unfamiliar routes seem harder.

So if you want to make your workout more effective,picture the action right before your workout. For exanple, arms extending, weight lowering, biceps contracting, weight rising etc. etc.
